Secret Document Leak: ‘Western Special Forces in Ukraine’

Numerous leaked documents from the US Department of Defense (Pentagon) revealed that special forces from many Western countries are operating in Ukraine. The documents confirm the speculations made in this regard in the war that has been going on for more than a year.

The US administration launched an investigation into the leak of the documents. US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said the Justice Department was determined to find the source of the leak as a result of the investigation.

The documents, some classified as “top secret”, contain a wealth of information, including Ukraine’s plans to strike back at Russia.

According to the BBC report, in a document dated March 23, it was claimed that the largest foreign special unit in Ukraine belonged to the UK with a team of 50 people. England is followed by Latvia (17), France (15), USA (14) and the Netherlands (1).

The documents do not contain detailed information about where the special forces are located and what exactly they are doing in Ukraine. Although their number seems to be relatively low, it can be said that the special forces are quite effective in nature.

Russia has been claiming that it has been fighting not only Ukraine but also NATO for some time now.

The British Ministry of Defense did not comment on the matter, maintaining its usual policy on these issues. However, in a post on the ministry’s Twitter account on Tuesday, it was claimed that the leaked US documents contained serious errors.

British special forces are made up of several elite military units with different specialties and are considered among the most capable units in the world in their field. The United Kingdom is the country that provides the most military and financial aid to Ukraine after the United States.
