Trump’s warning to his closest rival
In his post on his own social media account, TruthSocial, Trump blamed Florida Governor DeSantis, who is expected to be a Republican nominee in the 2024 presidential election.
Donald Trump noted:
“Ron DeSantis is, to put it mildly, a young man against me who doesn’t do very well in the polls. I believe that if he decides to run for president, which will only hurt and somehow divide the Republican Party, he will lose precious and valuable MAGA votes and never be a successful candidate again. If Florida were to remain governor as voters assumed, it would be a completely different situation. Just say. But who knows?”
55 PERCENT OF VOTERS SAY TRUMP
In a Morning Consult poll on April 3, 55 percent of respondents said they would vote for Trump, while 26 percent said they would vote for his closest rival, DeSantis. Trump was 17 points ahead of DeSantis in the poll conducted in January.
There is a widespread view among Republicans that the 34 counts against Trump are a “politically motivated witch hunt.” According to the latest polls conducted in the US, Trump is understood to maintain his strong position as a candidate among the Republican electorate. (AA)
