Pope Francis called on Easter: He gave messages one after another
The Pope presided over the Easter Mass in the famous St. Peter’s Square in the Vatican, on the occasion of Holy Week, which celebrates the resurrection of Jesus Christ in Christianity.
After the mass, Pope Francis greeted the faithful gathered in the square with his “Popemobile” vehicle and delivered the traditional “Urbi et Orbi (Rome and the World)” speech, in which he delivered the Easter message on world affairs from the street box
The Pope affirmed that they need to move forward on the path of peace and brotherhood to overcome conflicts and divisions, and said that they are happy to see countries that open their doors to immigrants fleeing war and poverty.
Referring to the war in Ukraine, Pope Francis said: “Dear Ukrainian people, help their march towards peace and shine the Easter light on the Russian people. Make sure the prisoners return safely to their families,” he said.
The Catholic spiritual leader called on “the entire international community to work to put an end to all conflicts, especially in Syria.”
COMMITTED AS OF FEBRUARY 6 AFFECTED BY EARTHQUAKE
In his Easter message, the Pope also referred to the earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş on February 6, saying: “Support all those affected by the strong earthquake in Turkey and Syria. Pray for those who have lost family and friends, and those who are homeless. “May they find comfort in God and seek help from other nations,” he said.
Pope Francis also commemorated those affected by the earthquake that struck Turkey on February 6.
Pope Francis said: “I am deeply concerned about the attacks that threaten the atmosphere of trust and mutual respect necessary to restart the dialogue between Israelis and Palestinians.”
While praying for Lebanon to overcome the divisions in search of stability and unity, the Pope stressed the importance that the young people of Tunisia do not lose hope and work for a future full of peace and fraternity.
Stating that the international community’s commitments to address the problems in Haiti must be supported, the Pope called for the consolidation of peace processes in Ethiopia and South Sudan and an end to violence in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
“Help Myanmar to walk the paths of peace and enlighten the hearts of those responsible for finding justice for the martyred Rohingya,” said Pope Francis.
The spiritual leader of Catholics said that human rights must be respected and an end to all forms of slavery.
At the end of his speech, the Pope blessed the faithful gathered in the square and celebrated Easter. (AA)
