High tension… Attack on the Israeli checkpoint in the West Bank
Gunmen attacked an Israeli checkpoint in the occupied West Bank.
Tensions are rising in the region after Israeli forces used violence to turn the holy temple into a “battlefield” at night at Masjid al-Aqsa. In a written statement made by the Israeli army, it was claimed that an armed attack was carried out at one of the largest checkpoints in the region, called “300”, which connects the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem.
Israeli soldiers on the scene were observed to have responded to the attack by opening fire. While no one was injured by the Israeli forces, it was claimed that a full-scale search was launched in the region to nab the suspect in the attack.
On the other hand, it should be noted that the attack occurred after the Israeli forces intervened violently against the faithful in the Al-Aqsa Mosque tonight. A group of Palestinians took refuge in the Qibla Masjid in Aqsa after the tarawih prayer, after fanatical Jewish settlers called for a raid on Masjid al-Aqsa due to the holy “Passover” of the Jews and the sacrifices there.
During the raid on Masjid al-Aqsa, Israeli forces intervened in Qibla Masjid using violence and turned the holy temple into a war zone. During the raid, more than 350 people who took refuge in the Qibla Masjid were detained.
After pressure escalated tension, an armed attack was carried out on Israeli soldiers in the West Bank city of Hebron, and 1 soldier was injured. (AA)
