Assad Regime Claims Israel Carried Out Airstrikes In Homs
According to news from the Assad regime’s SANA news agency, based on military sources, it was claimed that at 00:35 local time, several points in Homs and the Homs countryside were attacked by Israeli forces from the north-east of the capital of Lebanon, Beirut.
“Our air defense systems encountered the enemy missiles and shot down some of them. Material damage has occurred. 5 soldiers were injured,” the statement said.
There was no explanation from the Israeli authorities on the matter.
It is known that in addition to the regime’s army, terrorist groups under the command of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard and especially Lebanese Hezbollah elements are present in Homs province and its rural areas.
The Assad regime claimed that on March 31, Israel carried out an air strike on a point in the capital, Damascus.
Since 2011, when the civil war began, Israel has been carrying out attacks against Iranian-backed groups and regime military points in Syria from time to time. (AA)
