Russia: We will request reports on explosions on Nord Stream lines
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Zakharova made remarks on current affairs at the weekly press conference in the capital Moscow.
Referring to the explosions that took place at the Nord Stream 1 and 2 natural gas pipelines last year, Zaharova noted that Germany, Denmark and Sweden are trying to hinder the investigation into the incident.
“There can be no talk of transparency and openness unless Berlin, Copenhagen and Stockholm are willing to cooperate with the states directly affected by the incident of the investigation. We will continue to raise this issue constantly. For the West, this issue is worrisome. We will constantly raise this issue and return to the countries concerned, we will ask for a report on the national investigation.” he said.
Stating that the explosions were a “terrorist act”, Zaharova stressed that those responsible for the incident must be identified and punished.

Responding to the AA correspondent’s question about the possibility of Armenia joining the Rome status of the International Criminal Court, Zaharova stated that this issue was discussed at the highest level in Moscow and Yerevan.
Zaharova shared her hope that the issue at hand would be resolved in accordance with allied relations with Armenia.
Spokeswoman Zaharova stated that preparations are continuing for the meeting, which is scheduled for the deputy ministers of Turkey, Syria, Iran and Russia. (AA)
