Attack statement from TRNC Tatar leader

Ersin Tatar, president of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), who visited the United Kingdom, spoke about the tension experienced yesterday.

A group flying the Greek flag attempted to block the Tatar convoy as it entered the Kings College London campus. While the group was carrying out a verbal attack, they wanted to block the road by approaching the Tatar convoy vehicle.

Continuing his contacts in London, the capital of England, the president of TRNC Tatar said: “I would like to thank our students at Kings College London University for inviting me. We hold the conference despite the ugly attacks and outbursts of the Greek and Greek youth and all their attempts to prevent the conference.”

Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu said on his social media account: “I conveyed my best wishes to TRNC Chairman Ersin Tatar who was the target of an attempted attack in London. We are always with the TRNC!” he used the phrases. (DHA)
