New German skilled immigration law

In Germany, the Council of Ministers approved the new Skilled Immigration Law, which aims to close the shortage of skilled labor in the country.

In the statement made by the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, it was indicated that the Council of Ministers approved the strategy for skilled immigrants created to facilitate skilled labor migration in Germany. In the statement, it was reported that many German companies have had serious difficulties in finding qualified employees for a long time, and the shortage of qualified employees was at the level of 1.98 million in 2022.

Germany’s new Skilled Immigration Act introduces a point system for skilled immigrants, as well as various simplifications, such as family reunification and recognition of professional qualifications.
