France increases military aid to Ukraine
French Defense Minister Sebastien Lecornu said they will double the number of 155mm howitzers they send to Ukraine.
Lecornu, in statements to the French newspaper Le Figaro, spoke about his country’s material military support for Ukraine. Noting that France will send the necessary field equipment for the counterattack to Ukraine, Lecornu said they will double the number of 155mm howitzers his country will send to Ukraine from the end of this month, increasing it to 2,000 per month.
The French Defense Minister also said that the Paris administration will send the SAMP-T air defense system to Ukraine very soon, as promised.
Lecornu stated that they are working with the French Prime Minister, Elisabeth Borne, on the renewal of the support fund for Ukraine, and that 200 million euros have already been allocated in this fund. (AA)
