Heathrow airport strike: some flights canceled over the holiday period
Due to the security staff strike, British Airways will cancel 32 daily flights to and from Heathrow Airport during the period including Easter from March 31 to April 9.
According to British media reports, 1,400 security workers at Heathrow airport, members of the Unite union, will go on strike over the pay rise dispute.
The strike will begin on March 31 and end on April 9, the Easter holiday. During this period, British Airways will cancel 32 daily flights.
In the news cited by British Airways, it was also indicated that passengers affected by flight cancellations will be directed to alternative flights within 24 hours or their ticket prices will be fully refunded. (AA)
