Stunning Photo Claim: Did Putin Send His Doppelganger To The War Zone?
A notable development took place last week in the war that has been going on for more than a year between Russia and Ukraine.
Russian President Vladimir Putin went for the first time to the Mariupol region, where conflicts have been the fiercest since the start of the war, under intense security measures. The photos and videos of the Russian president, who had contacts with the local government and the people of the region, started a new discussion.
Putin’s photos taken in February and those taken on March 18 and 19 clashed.
Anton Gerashchenko, one of the top Ukrainian names, made a remarkable statement by posting some photos of Putin on his social media account. Gerashchenko claimed that Putin did not personally go to Mariupol, but sent some of his specialists to the region.
Sharing photos of Putin taken at different times, the Ukrainian official also emphasized the difference in Putin’s chin and neck region. Gerashchenko said: “Putin, what happened to your jaw? Recently, makeup professionals have been forced to work with low-quality Putin copies. It’s not exactly the same, but it’s a copy after all.”
Putin had visited Mariupol.
Ukraine’s interior minister commented: “I wonder which of these is the real Putin.” The photos shared by Gerashchenko include photos of Putin taken last year and photos taken in recent weeks.
On the other hand, a source writing to the social media platform Telegram claimed that “Kremlin sources deny that Putin has gone to Crimea and Mariupol.” The Kremlin did not comment on these accusations.
