At the march, where police took extensive security measures, protesters carried banners reading “End the crisis in the healthcare system,” “Enough is enough” and “Healthcare workers deserve a living wage.”

DOCTORS WILL GO ON STRIKE FOR 3 DAYS
General practitioners in the UK will go on a 3-day strike from March 13 due to the pay dispute.
British Health Minister Steve Barclay, in his Twitter post before the strike, announced that he invited GPs to constructive talks on pay increases.
In response to Minister Barclay’s Twitter post, the General Practitioners Association recalled that Barclay did not attend meetings yesterday and stated that they had no choice but to go on strike.
Possible action by GPs, combined with the current staff shortages, record workload and ongoing strikes by healthcare workers, is predicted to further increase pressure on the healthcare system.
General practitioners in the UK last went on strike in 2016 over a new contract. (AA)
