Israeli army attacks Gaza with cannon fire

The Israeli army shelled a military watchtower in the southern blockaded Gaza Strip.

According to information received from local sources, vehicles belonging to the Israeli army entered Palestinian land in the eastern part of the city of Khan Younis, in southern Gaza. Army forces shelled the military watchtower, which is under the control of the Interior Ministry field forces, in Gaza with artillery shells.

In a written statement from the Israeli army, it was reported that “an explosive device detonated near Israeli forces conducting military activities in the security zone on the Gaza border.” In the statement, it was indicated that after the incident, which caused no fatalities or injuries, army tanks shelled a point belonging to Hamas.
