Confrontation with terrorist organizations: 200 dead
According to national media reports, intelligence officer Zagazola Makama claimed that members of Boko Haram and ISWAP clashed in the Gudumbali-Kukawa regions of Borno state.

Makama noted that 200 terrorists, including women and children, were killed in the clashes and many others were injured.
Abu Musab al-Barnawi, the son of Mohammed Yusuf, the founder of the Boko Haram terrorist organization in Nigeria, became a Boko Haram spokesman after his father’s death in 2009.
The leadership crisis that began at Boko Haram in 2016 caused the organization to split between Barnawi and Abu Bakr Shekau. While Shekau led Boko Haram, Barnawi followed his actions by founding ISWAP.
