The laws have been aggravated: fine of 3 thousand TL for swearing

In the Central Asian country of Kazakhstan, it has been announced that as of today the punishments that will be imposed on those who swear in public will be aggravated.

While the revised Administrative Offenses Act, which has increased penalties, comes into force today, those who swear, insult and harass in public can be punished with fines and prison terms.

From now on, those who swear in public places, utter insults and harassment, damage public buildings and residences, as well as public transport vehicles and public property, disrespect public places, disturb social order and the peace of people will be severely punished. .

Those found guilty will be sentenced to 69,000 tenge (approximately 3,000 TL) or up to 15 days in prison. If the crime is a repeat offender, the prison sentence will be increased to 30 days.

Kazakh President Kassym Cömert Tokayev approved the amendments to the Law on Administrative Offenses on January 3. (AA)
