Imran Khan’s speeches banned from publication
According to Geo News television news, PEMRA banned the broadcast of former Prime Minister Khan’s speeches on television due to his “provocative and baseless accusations against state institutions and officials.”
The vice president of the Pakistan Justice Movement Party (PTI), Chaudri Favad Hussein, reacted to this decision and announced that they would appear in court.
On the other hand, PTI asked the court to have Han attend the hearings of the cases against him on video.
Due to the arrest warrant for Han, who did not attend hearings in the case on the sale of gifts received from foreign statesmen during his first ministry, the police took action to detain the former prime minister.
Police, who went to his home in Lahore to arrest Khan, announced that they could not find the PTI leader at his home.
This PEMRA decision came after statements by Khan, who today is wanted by the police, from his home in Lahore.
In a statement made in Lahore today, Khan said he would not kneel before any institution, referring to the army, nor would he allow the nation to collapse.
PEMRA made a similar decision against Khan on November 5 last year and Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif ordered the decision to be overturned on November 6, 2022.
