Ukrainian President Zelensky: No more secrets

Ukrainian President Zelenskiy spoke at the joint press conference he held with Latvian President Egils Levits, who came to Lviv, Ukraine for talks.

Noting that a large number of artillery systems and bullets are Ukraine’s main need in the war, Zelenskiy said that these weapons are not needed to attack Russia, but to protect their own lands.

Pointing out that there is also a lack of fighter jets in Ukraine, Zelenskiy said: “We need fighter jets. Not talking and making promises, just educating our children and giving out fighter planes.” he used his statements.

Noting that Ukraine will soon have a tank army, Zelenskiy said: “One way or another, we will have a tank army. I am absolutely sure of that. We see that our armed forces and our soldiers receive training. Soon everything will be. But we also have a certain deficit. Closing this persistent gap (with the support of partners) is what can help us”. he said.

When asked how they could speed up the supply of weapons, Zelenskiy replied: “Speaking publicly about what is missing. The countries that help us can clearly support us in supplying this or that weapon. There are no secrets anymore about what weapon we have.” he gave the answer.

“EVEN EU MEMBERS UNDERTAKE SOME SANCTIONS”

Noting that there will be no concessions from the sanctions against Russia, Zelenskiy said: “We are grateful for the defense of our Baltic friends Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia and also Poland. These states support everything in the European Union as much as possible.” he expressed his opinion.

Zelenskiy claimed that there are only countries that helped the Russians circumvent the sanctions, adding: “Unfortunately, there are states that are not ready to act with force. Even EU members sometimes make concessions on some sanction steps.” saying.

Stating that Russia’s military infrastructure is also dependent on sanctions, Zelenskiy said: “We must do everything possible to prevent them from producing so many weapons. The sanctions are effective. The important thing is to squeeze partners both in Europe and around the world”. he used his statements.

“DETERMINED WAR Awaits UKRAINE”

Latvian President Levits also stated that his country’s support for Ukraine exceeded 1 percent of its gross domestic product, saying:

“There is only military support here. This is a priority for us. Because the decisive battle awaits Ukraine in the coming months and we definitely support Ukraine in these times.”

Noting that Latvia continues to work on the supply of various military equipment and equipment to Ukraine, Levits said: “We also convinced our partners of the need to ensure that what they promised is delivered quickly.” saying.

Levits added that they provide training for Ukrainian soldiers. (AA)
