Terrifying discovery: They find remains of a missing man in the belly of a shark
The remains of Diego Barria, who disappeared in the coastal town of Comdoro Rivadavia, in southern Argentina, were found in the belly of a shark caught by fishermen.
Police officer Daniela Millatruz, who spoke to local media, said Barria’s identity was determined by her family through a tattoo on her body. Stating that the fishermen found human remains while cleaning the shark they caught in the Argentine province of Chubut, Millatruz stated that the investigation into the event continues.
Millatruz indicated that they had information that Barria was last seen on the beach and disappeared after swimming in the sea. Authorities said they suspect Barria was caught in the strong waves and slid into the sea.
Comodoro Rivadavia Police Chief Cristian Ansaldo also said in his statement that a DNA test will be carried out to confirm Barria’s official identity. Ansaldo claimed that the length of the shark with Barria’s remains was around 1.5 meters.
Diego Barria’s wife, Virginia Brugger, confirmed that her husband’s remains were found in a post on her social media account: “My heart went with you. I will love you forever.” (BRITISH AUTOMOBILE CLUB)
