Referring to the accident in which more than 40 people lost their lives as a result of the sinking of the boat carrying irregular migrants this morning off the city of Crotone, in southern Italy, the Pope said: “It was with pain that I learned of the incident which took place off the coast of Calabria this morning. The bodies of about 40 people, most of them children, were exhumed. I pray for those who lost their lives, for the lost and for the survivors.” he said.
The spiritual leader of the Catholics wanted the dialogue between Palestinians and Israelis to prevail over hatred and revenge. Pope Francis also expressed his prayers that Palestinians and Israelis find the path to brotherhood and peace with the help of the international community.
