Russian President Putin assessed the activities of the US and NATO in an interview with the “Moscow.Kremlin.Putin” program on the state channel Rossiya-1.
Recalling that they suspended the participation of the New Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (START) with the US.
Stating that they are not opposed to this, Putin said: “You can participate in these consultations. The leading NATO countries have declared that they intend to inflict a strategic defeat on our country so that the Russian people suffer. Everyone understands this, including the countries that follow the US, but they think that in this case it is in the common interest to fight Russia, rather than for various reasons related to the heavy dependence on the economy, in the field of defense, but still, they are very aware that everything the US does is only to serve their own selfish interests.”
