Poland: no return to normality with Russia

Polish President Duda addressed the public in the video he posted, reminding that tomorrow is the anniversary of the war between Russia and Ukraine.

Emphasizing that feelings of solidarity have come to the fore since the war began, Duda said Poles have opened their hearts and homes to their Ukrainian neighbors.

Underlining that he sought support for Ukraine for the security of the entire region in his meetings with world leaders over the past year, Duda said: “Attempts to reach an agreement with Russia without Ukraine’s approval are narrow-minded. Any attempt at this will lead to even greater tragedies in the future. There is no going back before February 24. There is no return to normality with Russia.” he said.

Stating that the United States is the guarantee of security, Duda said: “We appreciate the presence of US and NATO troops in our country. But we base our security on the strength of our own army, which we are constantly strengthening and modernizing. The western world is united. NATO’s role has increased and more countries are joining the alliance. Europe is finally ending its dependence on Russian oil and gas.
