Trump: World War III has never been so close

As part of the anniversary of the Russia-Ukraine War, former US President Donald Trump posted a video on his official website titled “President Trump to Fire Warmongers and Globalists Who Pursue Endless Wars.”

Trump said he was “the only president in a generation who didn’t start a war” and that he avoided conflict by rejecting the advice of bureaucrats in Washington. Stating that the US administration supported the uprisings in Ukraine in 2014, Trump said: “We have people like Victoria Nuland, the US Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs, who are obsessed with bringing Ukraine closer to the NATO”.

Trump claimed that these people have been looking for conflict for a long time, like in Iraq, but none of them would excuse the invasion of Ukraine a year ago. Using the phrase “If I were your president, this would never have happened,” Trump asserted that the “corrupt global order” that dominates US foreign policy must be removed.

Trump, who is a candidate for the 2024 presidential election, emphasized that this order will change during his term. Trump said, “With the right leadership, we can end the war in Ukraine in 24 hours,” and that he will appoint officials who put American interests above all else. (AA)
