NATO sends containers to Turkey for earthquake victims

According to a written NATO statement, the ship carrying 600 containers left the Italian port of Taranto on February 19.

The shipment will be the result of coordination between the NATO Joint Forces Command in Naples and the NATO Supply and Support Agency with the aim of providing temporary shelter to at least 4,000 people affected by the earthquakes.

Construction of the camp is expected to start after the containers arrive in Iskenderun next week and the equipment is unloaded and delivered to the construction site.

In an earlier NATO statement, it was stated that the most suitable transportation and logistical options for shipping the shelter facilities were evaluated and, once the facilities were established, tents would be placed around the tents suitable for the conditions. wintering, which NATO countries began to send.
