Rasmussen said that the EU must take into account the long-term consequences of the earthquakes, as well as speed up humanitarian assistance for those affected by the earthquakes centered on Kahramanmaraş.

Rasmussen stated that they are currently trying to provide assistance to the earthquake victims through the Red Cross and non-governmental organizations, saying, “Of course, there will be after this (aid) and this (earthquake) will have long-term repercussions for Turkey. . . For this we need close cooperation. We must ensure that we have close relations in terms of trade and investment so that Turkey can make up for its losses.” he used his statements.
