Polish Fire Chief: We saved 12 worlds in the earthquake

The head of the Polish State Fire Brigade, Andrzej Bartkowiak, stated that the team that supported the search and rescue efforts after the earthquakes, whose epicenter was in the Pazarcık and Elbistan districts of Kahramanmaraş, did everything possible. and said, “We saved 12 people and we saved 12 worlds.”

Bartkowiak told the AA correspondent at the airport on his return from Turkey to Warsaw about the work carried out by the Polish search and rescue teams in the earthquake zones. Stating that the Polish teams working in Turkey are doing their best, Bartkowiak said that it is very important for firefighters to save even one life.

Bartkowiak said: “I am happy that we were able to help Turkey. We saved 12 people and we saved 12 worlds. “I send my sincerest love to Turkey,” he said.

The rescue team that Poland sent to Turkey was ready to go to Turkey in 6 hours, and then, in addition to the team, some miners came to the earthquake zone. Poland also sent a field hospital with a medical team, doctors and nurses, and the teams worked in the Besni district of Adıyaman and rescued 12 people.

Finally, within the framework of the support, the Warsaw administration decided to send 3 aid trucks, including generators, blankets and winter tents from strategic reserves, to Turkey with some requested medicines. (AA)
