In the Netherlands, the National Anthem sounded with the bell of the cathedral in solidarity with Turkey
The De Peperbus Cathedral, one of the landmark buildings of the city of Zwolle in the Netherlands, played the melody of the National Anthem to the city today at 11:30 am local time in solidarity with Turkey.
On the other hand, the Catholic churches in the Netherlands rang their bells at the time of Friday prayers for the victims of the earthquake in Turkey and Syria with the theme of “solidarity with Muslims”.
Zwolle Mayor Peter Snijders, in a post on his Twitter account, stated that Zwolle residents, who have relatives in the earthquake zone in Turkey, were greatly affected and visited the Grand Mosque of the Religious Foundation of the Netherlands in town to show solidarity with Turkey and convey condolences to the Turkish people.
The municipality of Zwolle announced that it will donate 132,500 euros, 1 euro for each inhabitant of the city, to the campaign launched by the Dutch Red Cross for the victims of the earthquake in Turkey and Syria.
