Condolence visit to Turkish embassy by China’s Vice Foreign Minister
Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Ding Li visited the Turkish Embassy in Beijing to express condolences for the earthquakes that hit 10 provinces in Kahramanmaraş.
Meeting with Turkey’s Ambassador to Beijing Abdulkadir Emin Önen, Vice Minister Dıng expressed condolences for those who lost their lives in the earthquake and wished their families and relatives patience.
Noting that search and rescue teams sent from China’s Hong Kong Special Administrative Region also arrived in Turkey, Dıng said, “We hope that the teams sent from China with your participation can save more Turkish citizens without wasting time.” Dıng noted the following in the condolence book opened at the Embassy for the earthquakes that were described as the “disaster of the century” and affected 10 provinces in the Mediterranean, Eastern Anatolia and Southeast Anatolia regions:
“I convey my condolences to those who lost their lives in the earthquakes in Turkey, my condolences to their families and I wish a speedy recovery to the injured. We believe that the Turkish people will overcome the disaster and rebuild their homeland as soon as possible.” (AA)
