The ‘miracle baby’ that thousands of people around the world want to adopt will be delivered to his uncle

It has been reported that thousands of people around the world have applied to adopt baby Ojo, who opened his eyes to the world in the rubble after the earthquake in Syria.

In the 7.7 and 7.6 magnitude earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş, Eye baby, who was born under rubble in the city of Cinderes in Syria’s Afrin district, was pulled from the rubble where her parents and siblings lost their lives with difficulty. The images of the baby girl who was still attached to his mother, who died with the umbilical cord when she was found, caused a great uproar in the world.

Requests poured in from the world for Eye, who was injured on various parts of his body when he was pulled out of the rubble, was treated at the hospital, and is now in good condition. On the other hand, it turned out that his uncle also requested to take the little baby.

Syrian authorities reported that his uncle’s house was also destroyed and he currently lives in a tent with his family of 11. The baby is expected to be handed over to her uncle Salih al Badran as soon as he is released from the hospital.

The director of the hospital where the baby is being treated, Dr. Attiah Khalid stated that he also has a four-month-old baby, saying: “I will not allow anyone to adopt him at this time. “I will take care of him like my own son until his distant relatives return.”

DOZENS OF CHILDREN LOSE THEIR FAMILY

It is claimed that many children in the country lost their families in the earthquake and were orphaned. The UN said it is monitoring the situation of children whose families have died or cannot be found in Syria and is in coordination with hospitals.

In Syria, many children were pulled from the rubble.

In Turkey, the Ministry of Family and Social Services has ruled on the process that must be followed by those who want to be a foster family for children who need protection and care after the Kahramanmaraş earthquakes.

In the statement, it was stated that the children whose families and relatives could not be contacted were first taken to the institutions affiliated with the ministry, and it was stated that the children were cared for safely and efforts were made to reach their families. The statement said: “Our professionals meticulously assess the situations of children who are identified as needing protection and care in the earthquake area, and their placement with our current foster families continues.”
