Germany visa statement to earthquake victims

90-day visa for victims of the German earthquake

Those who were victims of the terrible earthquake in Turkey and their relatives in Germany will be able to go to Germany with an easy 90-day visa.

On the official website of the German Foreign Office, there are detailed explanations for Turks who are German citizens and have residence permits, who came from Germany and were caught in an earthquake or had relatives in the earthquake zone.

In the statement, it was stated that earthquake victims who have relatives in Germany must have a valid visa “as a general rule” in order to come to Germany, saying: “However, as part of the visa process, the difficult humanitarian situation in the field will be taken into account”.

YOUR APPOINTMENTS WILL NOT BURN

Noting that the visa application appointments for those affected by the earthquake will be extended and new appointments will be made from the German representations outside Gaziantep, the ministry announced the conditions for the “visa for earthquake victims”.

According to the ministry’s statement, the express visa will be issued under the following conditions:

1) Earthquake victims who want to stay with their relatives in Germany for the next few months (up to 90 days) can apply for a visitor visa.

2) A document showing the conditions of the intended stay, for example an invitation from a relative in Germany, is sufficient for a visa. In addition, it is necessary to meet the economic conditions necessary to travel, for example, present a plane ticket. Also, the inviting party has to commit and show that the incoming person can earn a living. If this is not the case, the person will prove that she has enough money to live there.

3) It is absolutely necessary to have travel medical insurance. In addition, the person has to commit and convince you that they will return after 90 days. Those who live in Germany should obtain the “invitation” form for relatives of earthquake victims from their municipality. These processes can also be done very quickly.

4) Applications Accordingly, visa applications will be finalized very quickly. Those who have already made an appointment with Gaziantep will not need to make an appointment again.

SPECIAL LINE FOR FAMILY MEMBERS WITH EXPERIENCE

A special line has been created for the relatives of expatriates in Germany or for them if they are in the earthquake zone.

They may submit an application at the German Embassy or Consulate General indicating their citizenship or their state of residence. The detailed explanation is available on the consulates website.

Those who were caught in the earthquake and lost their passports will also be able to obtain a new passport or residence permit by applying on this site.

Those who are German citizens and whose houses have been destroyed in the earthquake zone will also be able to apply on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the German Embassy in Ankara.

Recommending organizations such as Aktion Deutschland hilft’, Ärzte der Welt eV, DRK eV, Franziskaner Helfen, Humedica, Save the Children eV, UNICEF, UNO-Flüchtlingshilfe eV for assistance, the German Foreign Office also stated that the Turkish Embassy in Berlin could be contacted. .

“MORE MEANINGFUL TO BUY FROM THERE”

It was claimed that this is not a very desirable situation, as the Turks in Germany were loading hundreds of trucks of goods and leaving for Turkey.

While the German Foreign Ministry announced that it is not necessary to send so many goods over long distances and that it would be more logical to get them from Turkey with financial help, it requested that it would cost less to “buy local” materials such as various clothes, diapers and tents, and consequently, contact the organizers of the aid.
