France to establish a multi-purpose field hospital in the earthquake zone in Turkey

In a statement on Twitter, French Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin said that in addition to the rescue teams of 136 people sent by France due to the earthquakes in Turkey, at the request of President Emmanuel Macron, he promised to establish a hospital for safe campaign.

Stating that 81 people responsible for military civil defense training, including firefighters, will work in the hospital, Darmanin said that this commitment was made within the framework of European solidarity.

Darmanin noted that the hospital will be built according to the needs of those affected by the earthquake.

For the Kahramanmaraş earthquakes, France sent a third plane with 61 firefighters, 2 doctors, 4 nurses, 1 veterinarian and 6 specially trained dogs, in addition to the 2 search and rescue teams under the remains of 136 people, which it had previously sent to Adana with 2 planes.

The first 2 planes had landed in Adana, and the plane carrying the last crew had landed in Gaziantep.

Macron had a phone conversation with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan due to the earthquakes.
