Miraculous rescue of a baby in Syria: This is how they pulled him out of the rubble
The moments in which a little baby was rescued from the rubble of the building destroyed in the earthquake in Aleppo, Syria, were reflected on social networks.
In Syria, the death toll from the earthquake in regions under government and opposition control has exceeded 2,500. Fighting by Syrian rescue teams trying to reach a family staying in a destroyed house in Aleppo was recorded minute by minute.
In the images shared by the Syrian White Helmets group, the moments in which the teams pulled a baby from the ground of just a few months in the dark were also reflected on the cameras. The little baby, buried in the ground, with only its head visible and coughing and crying, was dragged out by the teams with difficulty.
The rescue team was said to have struggled for hours to get the baby’s siblings and family out.
The footage also showed several injured children being pulled from the rubble.
International aid to Syria after the earthquake caused a crisis between the Damascus government and the opposition. The Damascus administration, which allegedly avoids aid to regions under opposition control, is accused of turning earthquake aid into political material.
