Warning to Iran from 4 countries
In the joint statement by the four countries, it was stated that the “undeclared change” made to the facility in the Fordo region, as in the IAEA report, “does not comply” with Iran’s obligations under the Treaty of No Nuclear Proliferation.
In the statement, it was claimed that the production of highly enriched uranium at the uranium enrichment facility in Iran’s Fordo region carries the risk of nuclear weaponry, stressing that Iran’s claims that the report is untrue are “inadequate “.
CALL FOR COOPERATION
In the statement, it was noted that Iran’s actions were assessed based on the “objective and objective reports” of the IAEA, not according to the “supposed intentions” of this country, which called for full cooperation.
In the report sent yesterday by the IAEA to member states, it was indicated that an undeclared change was made in the interconnection between the two sets of IR-6 centrifuges that enrich uranium to 60 percent purity at the nuclear facility in Fordo. The report noted that no information was provided on how the change was made.
IRAN: NOT TRUE
Mohammad Islami, head of Iran’s Atomic Energy Agency, argued that the report submitted by the IAEA was not correct.
