Greek Foreign Minister Dendias also expressed his condolences for those who lost their lives in the attacks on Israelis.
Dendias affirmed that Greece and Israel have a “strategic and mutually beneficial association” and that they discussed “advancing cooperation on issues such as energy, defense, investment promotion, innovation and tourism” between the two countries.
Dendias thanked Israel for supporting Greece’s bid for membership of the United Nations Security Council for 2025-2026.
Referring to the regional cooperation that Greece defines as 3+1 under the same roof with Israel, the Greek Cypriot Administration and the US, Dendias said that the cooperation between Israel, the United Arab Emirates and Greece is a “great idea” and they will . work on it.
Dendias described the agreement that Israel signed with Lebanon on the delimitation of maritime borders as “an excellent advance.”
Dendias said that the diplomatic normalization agreements signed by Israel with the Arab countries constitute an important pillar for the permanent solution of the problems of the Middle East and the Palestinian question, and stressed that they are in favor of a “fair solution that serves the interests of both sides” in the Palestinian question.
