Harsh reaction from the Kremlin to Boris Johnson, who said “Putin threatened me”

There was a very harsh reaction from Moscow to the words of former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson that Russian leader Putin openly threatened him before the invasion of Ukraine.

Former British Prime Minister Johnson, who resigned in July following the scandals, said in the BBC documentary “Putin vs. the West” that Russian President Vladimir Putin openly threatened him with a missile attack. Johnson said Putin, whom he tried to persuade not to invade Ukraine, told him: “Boris, I don’t want to hurt you, but it will only take a minute with the missile.”

A notable response came from Russia regarding the statement that created an event in the world press. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Johnson, who claimed Putin threatened him with a missile attack, “blatantly lied.”

“Johnson’s words are not true, they are actually a complete lie,” Peskov said.

Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, which is approaching its second year, is causing a rapid rise in tension between Moscow and London, which is giving military support to kyiv.
