State Department travel warning retaliation to US and Europe
The US, French and German embassies have issued a high risk terror warning for Turkey, especially in Istanbul, calling on its citizens to stay away from crowded places and be careful.
Following the announcement by the three countries, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey also issued a travel warning for the US and European countries.
“INCREASE IN PROPAGANDA SHOWS AGAINST OUR COUNTRY”
In the statement issued by the Ministry for European countries, it was said:
* “Recently there has been an increase in anti-Islamic, xenophobic and racist actions in some European countries, as well as propaganda shows against our country by groups affiliated with the terrorist organization.
* These events, which reflect the dangerous dimensions of religious intolerance and hatred in Europe, also reveal the alarming level reached by racist and discriminatory movements in Europe.
* Our citizens living in or planning to travel to countries where such acts occur should exercise caution, stay away from areas where demonstrations may escalate, act calmly in the face of possible xenophobic and racist attacks and harassment, and contact local security forces, as well as closely monitoring local media and broadcasting organizations It is especially beneficial for the security forces of the relevant countries and our Ministry, our Embassies and Consulates in the countries to follow any additional warnings and announcements they may make.
