Double Turkish attack on Germany
Aleyna Aktaş (25) and her husband Mehmet Aktaş (30), from Trabzon’s Sürmene district, were injured by an air rifle attack from their neighbors next door and were taken for treatment. It was alleged that the attacker then hacked open the door of the house where the Aktaş family lived with an axe, threw flammable material inside, and wanted to burn the apartment down.
Ahmet Karataş, Aleyna Aktaş’s uncle, told Anadolu Agency (AA) that the family survived the fire by chance.
Ahmet Karataş said: “My nephew was warned by his wife that there was smoke in their house and that they had small babies because their German neighbors were drinking drugs about 4 months ago. There was an argument between them. Despite the passage of time, this person must have held a grudge against my nephew and his family, and today he carried out this incredible attack.” saying.
Karataş described the attack that took place in the early hours of the morning as follows:
“Early in the morning, while my niece Aleyna was on her way to work, her German neighbours, whom they had talked about before, shot my nephew with a shit-shooting BB gun. Not understanding what happened, Aleyna was injured and ran back to her apartment. Her wife Mehmet, who saw the incident, ran out and the neighbor shot her in the same way, wounding her leg. She then prepared herself that this aggressive neighbor took an ax in hand, leaned against the door, broke the door and entered. She poured flammable material into the house and set it on fire. They took my nephew, his wife and his 6-month-old son and escaped to the balcony. They called the police, the fire brigade, and the police rescued them from the balcony.”
“THEY WANTED TO BURN WITH THEIR HOUSES”
Ahmet Karataş said, “Aleyna was injured in 6-7 places and her husband was injured in several places and they are still trying to remove the hair in surgery. Their neighbors wanted to burn them down with their houses. We found out that the attacker was arrested.” he said.
In the statement issued by the fire brigade, it was shared that in the morning they received a fire warning, they asked the police for help on the grounds that “there was a threatening situation” in the place, and that they evacuated the people and brought the fire under control.
Police opened an investigation into the incident. (AA)
