The far-right Paludan burned the Koran in front of the Turkish Embassy in Stockholm
Rasmus Paludan, leader of the Danish far-right Strict Leadership Party (Stram Kurs), burned the Koran in front of the Turkish Embassy in Stockholm.
Paludan was surrounded by a crowded group of policemen as he burned the Koran near the Turkish embassy in Stockholm.

“Despite all the warnings from our country, we condemn the vile attack on our holy book, the Koran, in Sweden today, in the strongest possible terms.” she condemned him.
In a statement made yesterday by the Stockholm Police Department, it was claimed that Paludan was allowed to demonstrate on Saturday near the Turkish Embassy in Stockholm.
Paludan, speaking to the Swedish media on January 15, stated that he would not come to Sweden to burn the Koran again and that the police could not adequately protect him.
According to Swedish state television SVT news, Swedish journalist Chang Frick made an offer to Paludan to burn the Koran in front of the Turkish embassy in Stockholm on Saturday, promising to cover all his expenses.
In his statement to SVT, Frick stated that he had paid for the police permit to demonstrate and that he would exercise his right to report as a journalist.
