Passenger plane crashed: Dozens dead

Nepal was rocked by a terrible plane crash on Sunday… An ATR 72 twin-engine passenger plane belonging to Yeti Airlines crashed.

Although it was indicated that 72 people were traveling on the plane, it was stated that at least 40 people lost their lives according to the first determinations. Jagannath Niroula, a spokesman for the Nepal Civil Aviation Authority, said: “Search and rescue efforts are continuing. The weather is clear,” he said.

It was reported that there was dense black smoke in the area where the remains were located and that 10 foreigners were traveling on the plane. According to official data, the aircraft was recorded to be at least 15 years old.

It was stated that the search for the plane that crashed in Pokhara is continuing. It was also claimed that there were 2 children, four cabin crew and the pilot on the plane.

On the other hand, the Nepalese authorities shared information about the people on board with the public. In the statement, it was noted that 1 Australian, 1 French, 1 Argentine, 5 Indian, 4 Russian, 1 Irish, 2 South Korean nationals were on board.

According to the statement, 64 people died in the accident.
