England: Ukraine defended its positions

In the intelligence report on the Russian-Ukrainian war released by the British Ministry of Defense, it was stated that heavy fighting continued over the weekend in the Kremina and Bahmut regions on the Donbas front.

“As of January 15, 2023, the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) almost certainly held their positions in Soledar, north of Bahmut, in the face of continued attacks by Wagner Group,” the report says.

“However, in general, the UAF continues to gradually advance to the east on the edge of the city of Kremina,” the report said. In the past six weeks, both Russia and Ukraine have made substantial but limited progress in different regions.
