South Korean chiefs of staff say North Korea fired the missiles from an area south of Pyongyang in North Hwanghae province. The missiles have been sent to the east coast. According to Japan, which has been monitoring the missiles, the shells traveled 350 kilometers and flew at a maximum altitude of 100 kilometers.
No immediate threats
Although the missiles did not pose a direct threat to the United States or its allies. the launches clearly show the destabilizing impact of North Korea’s missile program. The US Indo-Pacific Command said in a statement.
In recent months, dictator Kim Jong Un has accelerated the response times towards the United States and its allies. This also means that North Korea is sending drones south. The rocket launch was conducted just hours after South Korea tested a solid-fuel spacecraft.
