In France, it is mandatory for Chinese travelers to be able to provide a negative corona test that is less than 48 hours old. Also, random tests are performed. “France is calling on its allies across the European Union to do the same,” said Health Minister François Braun. He says Chinese travelers can enter other countries through any EU country “and therefore coordinated testing must be carried out in the EU to improve efficiency”.
So far, of the 27 EU countries, only Italy and Spain require Chinese travelers to undergo a corona test. Last week there was a vote on a mandatory test for the whole of Europe, but no consensus was reached. We’ll talk more about it this week.
