Egyptian President Sisi congratulates Netanyahu

According to a written statement from the Israeli Prime Ministry Press Office, Netanyahu spoke to Sisi on the phone.

During the meeting, Sisi congratulated Netanyahu on forming a government and assuming the post of prime minister.

Expressing that they want to advance bilateral relations between Egypt and Israel in all fields, the two leaders discussed the latest developments in the international and regional arena.

In the statement, it was noted that Netanyahu and Sisi “emphasized the importance of promoting peace, stability and security for the good of the two countries and all the peoples of the Middle East.”

The right-wing coalition government led by Benjamin Netanyahu, who won Israel’s early general election on November 11, received a vote of confidence in the parliamentary session held on December 29, with Netanyahu taking the prime minister’s seat.

The coalition of ultra-religious and far-right parties led by Netanyahu is known as the most right-wing coalition in Israeli political history. (AA)
