Dog left home alone sets fire to it
The incident occurred in the town of Hockley in the Essex region of the country. In the statement issued by the Essex Fire Department, it was said that the dog, left home alone by the owner, turned on the hair dryer that was plugged in and standing on the bed, and then the fire broke out.
It was reported that the fire was extinguished in a short time and the bedroom of the house was damaged.
DON’T FORGET TO UNPLUG ELECTRONICS
The alert, posted on the Essex Fire Department website, reads: “When you are finished with any electrical appliance, such as a hair dryer and iron, please take a moment to unplug it. The owner wouldn’t have thought for a moment that his dog could turn on the hair dryer, but unplugging something will give you peace of mind. Fortunately, the dog was waiting at the front door when the owner returned. The smoke-affected dog and owner were treated,” he said.
