Prosecutor’s statement on the attack in Paris: I hated it

According to the news released by the French press based on the statement from the Paris Prosecutor’s Office, the 69-year-old French attacker admitted having “a pathological hatred of foreigners” during his arrest.

The attacker, whose arrest warrant was lifted yesterday and who was referred to a psychiatric clinic for health reasons, described himself as “depressive and suicidal” and assured that he “wanted to kill immigrants and foreigners” after the robbery at his home in 2016.

In custody, the attacker also said he went to Saint-Denis, a Paris suburb where immigrants mostly live, to kill the foreigners on the day of the attack.

Claiming that he then went on foot to the 10th arrondissement of Paris and knew that there was a cultural center there, the attacker expressed that he was angry with all the immigrants.

Expressing that his only regret is that he cannot kill himself, the French attacker said that if he commits suicide one day, he plans to kill his “enemies”, and by enemy he means “all non-European foreigners”.

ATTACKED WITH A SWORD

In the attack on Rue Enghien in the 10th arrondissement of Paris on December 23, a French citizen opened fire on the surrounding people, 3 people were killed and 3 people were injured, one seriously.

His name in the French press is “William M.” The 69-year-old attacker was arrested at the scene. The attacker was claimed to have retired from France’s official railway company SNCF.

It was revealed that the attacker tried to assassinate twice in 2016 and 2021, it appears in police records, in December 2021 he attacked an immigration center in Paris with a sword in hand and injured 2 people, for which he was imprisoned and abandoned this month. (AA)
