‘Iran ridicule international sanctions institution’

09:00 | Mykhailo Podolyak, adviser to Volodimir Zelensky, has called for the demolition of Iranian drone and missile factories over their role in supporting Russia in the war. “Iran mocks the establishment of international sanctions,” he said. Furthermore, according to Podolyak, Iran plans to increase the production and supply of drones and missiles, after which it has called for the “liquidation” of the factories and the “shutdown” of all suppliers.

Russian attacks on increasingly flimsy infrastructure

8 am | Russia may scale back missile attacks on Ukrainian infrastructure due to limited availability of cruise missiles, the British Defense Ministry said.

In the latest knowledge update, the ministry said Russia has been supplementing forces in Ukraine with tens of thousands of reservists since October, making an imminent personnel shortage less severe. “But ammunition shortages remain the main reason for the lack of Russian offensives.”

Continuing to defend Russian frontline positions requires a large daily supply of grenades and missiles, the ministry said. This is also why Russia hits fewer long-range targets.

US urges Putin to ‘acknowledge reality’ after using word ‘war’

07:02 | The United States has called on Vladimir Putin to acknowledge the reality and withdraw troops from Ukraine now that the Russian president finally sees the conflict as war.

As of Thursday, Russia called the invasion a special military operation and Moscow introduced a law criminalizing any other terminology related to the invasion. However, at a press conference, Putin used the word war, hoping “the war would end soon.”

“The United States and the rest of the world knew as of February 24 that Putin’s ‘special military operation’ was an unforgivable war against Ukraine,” a US State Department spokesman said. “But after 300 days he gives up and sees war for what it is. The aggression against Ukraine has resulted in needless death and destruction.’

Zelensky warns of Russian attacks on holidays

23-12-2022 – 22:08 | Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelensky warns of possible Russian attacks during the holiday season. In his daily video message, he calls on the Ukrainian people to be more vigilant.

“They despise Christian values and all values in general,” declares the president of the Russian troops. He also calls those soldiers “terrorists”. Zelenski asks people to pay more attention to the air raid siren during the holidays and help each other. “Always take care of each other.”

Zelensky says Ukraine is preparing for the coming months and 2023 as a whole. He emphasizes that the goals are unchanged. It is the liberation of our country. Freedom for our people. Recovery of our country after the Russian bombing.’

After ten months of war, a peace agreement still seems far away. The warring parties held negotiations early in the conflict, but they quickly stalled. For the resumption of this, both countries set requirements that the other does not want to meet.
