674 right-wing extremists wanted in Germany

In the Taz newspaper news, which was based on the Home Office’s response to the Left Party’s questionnaire, it was stated that the number of arrest warrants was 915, but the number of people wanted was 674 because there were separate arrest warrants. for more than one person.

The response from the Ministry of the Interior indicated that as of September 30, 33 of the arrest warrants were related to “politically motivated crimes”, while 151 of them were related to “extreme right-wing crimes” such as the use of symbols unconstitutional or incitement to the public. The rest of them were noted to be right-wing extremists who were involved in common crimes.

It was highlighted in the news that 57 of the wanted ultra-rightists served in the armed forces and knew how to use weapons.

It was shared that 14 of the wanted people were in Poland, 9 in Austria, 9 in Switzerland and 8 in Romania.

Left Party Bundestag member Martina Renner, who tabled the parliamentary question, called for more pressure on the police, saying: “The high number of open arrest warrants shows that far-right violence is a daily threat.” she used the phrase.

WARNING FROM “FOR THE RIGHT” TO AfD

Thomas Haldenwang, head of the Organization for the Protection of the Constitution responsible for national intelligence in Germany, warned that the Alternative Party for Germany (AfD) is moving more and more to the extreme right.

Speaking to Germany’s DPA news agency, Haldenwang said the AfD headquarters guarded its public image and avoided using far-right rhetoric, but radicalization was evident in local branches.

“They avoid making far-right statements at the national level,” Haldenwang said. But a closer look at party structures makes xenophobic, anti-Semitic and inhumane statements more visible.” he said he.

Noting that radical figures such as Bjorn Hocke, known for his anti-immigrant and anti-Muslim rhetoric, have gained more influence within the right-wing party this year, Haldenwang also raised the issue of “Imperial Citizens” (Reichsbürger), who were detained in Germany for allegedly planning a coup.

Stating that it is alarming that this group has managed to build a national network so quickly, Haldenwang said: “The unifying support of the actors is the rejection and overcoming of the system of the Federal Republic of Germany.” he said.

“Anyway, this group is dangerous because of its irrationality and access to weapons,” Haldenwang said. he used the phrase.

THE NUMBER OF RIGHTS EXISTS IS MORE THAN 33 THOUSAND

In the 2021 report of the Organization for the Protection of the Constitution (BfV), which was made public in early June, it was stated that there are approximately 33,900 far-right extremists in Germany, of whom 13,500 are “violent”.

In the report, it was stated that far-right extremists increased by 1.8 percent compared to 2020, and this figure was the highest level since statistics have been kept. (AA)
