Scandalous words from the President of France: I do not want the Turks at the table

In Turkey, the statements made by President Erdogan to journalists on the presidential plane upon his return from visits abroad came from France. French President Emmanuel Macron spoke after the “Baghdad Partnership and Cooperation Conference” held in Jordan.

Expressing that Europe should take a stronger role within NATO, Macron said: “The Alliance is not something I have to stick with, it is something I have to choose and work with. “We have to rethink our strategic autonomy,” he said.

“Europe should gain more independence in terms of defense technology and capabilities,” Macron said, adding that Europe’s efforts to develop should not be seen as an alternative to NATO.

Speaking to 3 journalists upon his return to Paris, Macron said: “A stronger European alliance will allow the continent to be more independent. “It will allow us to act within NATO, together with NATO, but not be dependent on NATO,” he said.

“I DON’T WANT THE TURKS TO SIT AT THE TABLE”

In the news published in the Wall Street Journal, it was also mentioned that Macron is one of the sources of tension between Russia and Ukraine, and that the leaders of Eastern European countries blame Macron. Macron met and even threatened Russian President Vladimir Putin during and before the start of the Russia-Ukraine war.

“All the Europeans and Westerners who have moralized me should tell me who should sit at the negotiating table,” Macron said on his presidential plane. In my opinion, I don’t want the Chinese and the Turks to negotiate alone to discuss what will happen next.”
