Iran summons the German ambassador in Tehran to the Foreign Ministry
In the statement published on the website of the Iranian Foreign Ministry, it is disclosed that the German ambassador in Tehran, Hans Udo Muzel, was summoned to the Foreign Ministry in response to “interventionist” statements by the German authorities regarding Iran’s internal developments and the continued “confusion and instability supporting attitudes” in the country.
In the statement, it was claimed that Tehran’s protest was conveyed to Ambassador Muzel, in reaction to Germany’s continued “unacceptable interference in Iran’s internal affairs.”
During the meeting held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the German Ambassador was informed that the “double standard” of the German authorities of seeing “subversive acts” as good for others and bad for themselves is extremely upsetting. On the other hand, Hans Udo Muzel, the German ambassador in Tehran, was reported to have stated that “Iran will deliver its message to their country.”
The Iranian Foreign Ministry summoned Muzel to the Foreign Ministry in response to German Chancellor Olaf Scholz’s statements on Iran on November 14 and statements by German representatives on Iran at the Human Rights Council on November 28. november.
German President Frank Walter Steinmeier has called for those responsible for the violence against protesters in Iran to be brought to justice. (AA)
