Serbia: We will continue to develop relations with Turkey

Orlic, who met with the Chairman of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, Mustafa Şentop, who paid an official visit in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia, made remarks at the joint press conference held after the meeting.

Stating that Turkey and Serbia have very good relations, Orlic said, “We see the results of these relations in the results we have recorded in the fields of economy and infrastructure. I would like to thank Turkey once again for supporting the formation of the ‘Open Balkan’, which is important for us,” he said.

Noting that there are very valuable investments from Turkey in Serbia, Orlic said: “Therefore, we employ approximately 10 thousand people in our country. But the most important point here is that we are doing this in places where there are unemployment problems in Serbia.” he said.

Emphasizing that the volume of foreign trade with Turkey will exceed 2.5 million euros next year, Orlic said that infrastructure projects are especially important for Serbia and that the renovated Novi Pazar-Tutin highway was inaugurated in October.
