In the report entitled “Experiences of Violence and Harassment at Work: The First Global Survey” prepared by the ILO, in which around 75,000 employees over the age of 15 from 121 countries were interviewed, the statistics of those who were subjected to mistreatment in the Workplace was shared by age, gender and regions.
23 PERCENT SURVIVE HARASSMENT AND VIOLENCE
The report establishes that at least one in 5 employees (around 23 percent) has suffered physical, psychological and sexual violence or harassment in the workplace.
17.9 percent of the workers who participated in the interview suffered harassment and psychological violence.
MORE EXPERIENCES IN MALE EMPLOYEES
While 8.5 percent of employees were exposed to physical violence and harassment, male employees experienced it more.
6.3 percent of employees whose opinions were taken up in the report, especially women, were exposed to violence and sexual harassment.
MOST ALIVE COUNTRY
Violence and harassment at work were most common in the United States, followed by Africa.
